organization which promotes
photographers' rights, educates
photographers in better business
practices, and produces business
publications for photographers. The
New England chapter is

Boston Photo Collaborative
- The Boston Photo Collaborative
was founded in 1991 to offer classes
and programs in photography that
stretch the bounds of conventional
photo education and bring
photography to people traditionally
without access to the medium.

The Center for Photographic Projects

Projects is dedicated to supporting
and encouraging image-makers as they
initiate, develop and culminate

Commercial Industrial Photographers
of New England (CIPNE)
- CIPNE's mission is to raise the
standards of the
commercial/industrial photographer,
both professionally & ethically,
through educational programs &
publications. They also seek to
provide a support network, promote
the exchange of knowledge and to
recognize the achievements of the
professional photographer. CIPNE is
a regional affiliate of PPA.

Editorial Photographers (EP)
- EP is a non-profit organization
dedicated to the business of
editorial photography. They maintain
an Internet discussion forum on
business issues with more than 3000
subscribers from over 30 countries.
You must become a member to
participate.

Museum of Fine Arts
- The Museum of Fine Arts houses
and preserves preeminent collections
and aspires to serve a wide variety
of people through direct encounters
with works of art. When presenting a
valid Student ID to an admission
cashier, full-time NESOP students
receive free General Admission to
the MFA, and reduced price ($5.00)
tickets to special exhibits. They
are also entitled to a 10% discount
on purchases made in the Museum
shops.

National Press Photographers
Association (NPPA)
- The National Press Photographers
Association is dedicated to the
advancement of photojournalism, its
creation, editing and distribution,
in all news media. NPPA provides
continuing educational programs and
fraternalism without bias, as they
support and acknowledge the best the
profession has to offer.

- On-line resource for PDN
magazine, the award-winning monthly
magazine for the visual creative,
that has been covering the
professional photographic industry
for over two decade. PDN is packed
with the very latest trends and
techniques, business and legal news
and new products.

Photographic Resource Center (PRC)
- The PRC is an independent
non-profit organization that exists
to facilitate the study and
dissemination of information
relating to photography. They have a
4,000-volume resource library, the
Aaron Siskind library.

Professional Photographers of
America
- PPA is a worldwide association
which exists to assist its members
in achieving their professional,
artistic and fraternal goals;
promote public awareness of the
profession; and to advance the
making of images in all its
disciplines as an art, a science and
a visual recorder of history. The
Massachusetts affiliate is
